A couple years in we started looking for coaches. We knew what we wanted. Someone who understands OUR business. This work is different than most things people do for work. There is a lot of emotion attached.
What we found was a lot more burnout, undervalued doulas, who we ended up giving pep talks to. It is hard to find a doula who has boundaries, self worth, and knows just how bad-ass and important they are!
HOW are we expecting ourselves to demonstrate to clients that they are the centre of their story. They get to be in the drivers seat, have boundaries, and say no to things; when most of us aren't doing that at all.

Our story
We had been doulas separately for 10 years.
It's a lonely job to do without a team or community. We gravitated towards each other when we would be at the gym, decompressing after births, talking about business, clients, and techniques.
4 years ago we decided to make it official, but that doesn't mean we did it right. We scrambled, fumbled, make mistakes and continued to feel burnout, and undervalued.
We always say being a doula is the martyrs career. "Everyone deserves a doula", but you know what, everyone doesn't deserve to take time from you, your family, and your life without valuing it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to show up for the calls live?
Nope, we will record all the calls and they will be posted for your viewing. We do expect you'll watch them as soon as possible, so you can get as much value out of the Facebook group which will be constant.
When are the calls?
Starting April 13, the calls will be every Thursday at 12pm for 6 weeks. Calls will be one hour in length.
May 25th will be a possible reschedule day in case either of us have to go to a birth on a Wednesday.
What if I need more help with my business?
Absolutely! If you find yourself in need of more coaching we offer 2-1, or 1-1 coaching on a monthly basis based on availability. Email us to inquire.
